Interior Design | Arcadian Home Inspiring Entryways 5

Hello, everyone!  I’m so happy to be here today with a guest post from Arcadian Home blog.  It’s a fabulous place to find interior design inspiration including great decorating ideas for everything from beautiful folding screens to colorful rugs for the floor.

Let’s take a little virtual tour of eight foyers in different styles, some large and some small, but all chosen because they offer great ideas to help you create your own inspired entryway.  Please enjoy!

Thanks Corinne for letting me visit for awhile.

This lovely eclectic home has no real foyer, but the homeowner has created the illusion of one with a narrow table and vignette of vintage treasures.  The table made of reclaimed wood appears to be only six inches wide, but it’s perfect for this tiny space, as is the antique mirror above it.

Another small entryway is made beautiful and welcoming with a gallery wall and wingback chair in white with gold nailhead trim.  A tiny brass table just fits beside the slightly angled chair.

Here a larger entryway has room for a long bench and interesting square shelf.  An oversized metal-footed clear glass vase with tall blooms adds drama in front of a lovely Japanese-inspired wallpaper.  Multiple mirrors are a beautiful focal point above the bench.

A metallic antique chest just fits into the niche formed by this stair case.  A single glass pendant light would be pretty hung low in this space, but two in different colors create a stunning look.

This beamed entryway is beautiful with its painted gray walls and natural finished woodwork.  It’s wide enough for a massive gray-washed chest and rustic seating on the opposite wall.

How pretty is this art-filled foyer and hallway?  Furnishings are simple with a demilune table and large mirror, letting the artwork shine.

Here in this soaring entryway minimalism is at work.  Large black leather lounge, tall metal sculpture, massive ball pendant light—what more does a contemporary foyer need?

This inspired entryway is at once grand and beautifully rustic.  A massive capiz shell chandelier goes far beyond the expected metal foyer light.  Amazing! Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

  1. I just LOVE the entryway above with the Japanese wallpaper and white bench with pillows and mirrors- classic, comfortable and modern. Would you know how I can find that wallpaper? If it has a name or something so I can try to locate it? I think it is subtle but intricate and light at the same time- lovely.
